Aden Motel

We felt right at home from the meet and greet on. Molly’s mum was great. Good humoured and witty. The room was clean and comfortable and with plenty of space for our daughter and her husband to come round in the evening for cards. Lots of equipment in the kitchen including things, kitchen paper, that we haven’t found before on our travels. A really simple outside area to sit and chill and with great views of the mountains at no extra cost! Plenty of good spaced parking. The bed was comfy. The a/c excellent and simple to use. The bathroom? Functional. Lots of things nearby, including super market, restaurants, and the waterfront. We enjoyed the Thai, Italian by the supermarket, and the Fat Duck. All easy walking away. Molly’s mum even came up with a UK toothbrush charger adaptor.

Good property. Well located, clean and comfortable. Our room had cooking facilities if required and a guest laundry which was a great facility for those on the move. The property is surrounded by lovely gardens. Staff were friendly and accommodating. They had the sweetest little dog who really made us smile. Would have been nice to have options for viewing other than local tv but all things considered a nice place to stay

Aden hotel What a great choice for our 2 night stay for the purpose of visiting Milford sound. David and Irene could not have been more pleasant, helpful and informative Parking for your car was right outside your apartment, which were named after local bird species The apartment itself was comfortable, with a good sized bathroom great shower and a well equipped kitchen The gardens in the grounds were looking well even though they had subject to a lot of rain and it has a herb garden for you to use. The centre of town itself was about a 15 minute walk via a walkway also the lakefront a 5 minute walk could also be accessed through a lane. Our next port of call was Invercargill and Irene gave us a great brochure with details of places to visit and stops on the way. You won’t go wrong if staying here!

The motel is in a lovely, quiet, leafy street a short walk from the lakefront and main street with restaurants. The room was large, with an open-plan kitchen and dining area and facilities for coffee and tea. It opened straight onto the property's garden through large sliding windows, so there was a lot of light. The owners were super friendly and helpful and let us leave our car an extra night as we went to Milford Sound, which was very kind of them.

The place was perfect for our trip to Milford Sound as it cut down some of the distance driving instead of staying in Queenstown. We enjoyed that it was in relative walking distance to Te Anau lake. We received appreciated information from the host and a map on Te Anau and general information about New Zealand including using the Gasby app.
